While the Biathlon World Cup will resume on January 5 in Oberhof (Germany), who was the most successful French biathlete of the year 2024?
2024 will remain a great year for the French biathlon team. Gold medals at the world championships in Nove Mesto, an avalanche of victories and podiums in the World Cup… But who was the best performer over the entire calendar year?
To do this, we added up the places of the French biathletes at the finish of each individual race (1st = 1 point, 15th = 15 points, etc.) and the athlete with the lowest number comes at the top of our ranking.
Author of six consecutive top 5s at the end of last season (including three podiums) and mounted five times on the box to start the 2024-2025 season, Emilien Jacquelin was the best Frenchman of the year 2024. A rather logical result.
-With a score of 247, he is ahead of Eric Perrot (287) with his four podiums for two victories. Quentin Fillon Maillet, despite one less competitive race (the pursuit of Ruhpolding) arrives at 384, ahead of Fabien Claude at 469.
For comparison, Johannes Boe stands at 96 after having dominated the year head and shoulders.
