Ligue 1 experienced a real upheaval this summer! After endless discussions, the Professional Football League finally found a discounted agreement for its TV rights by signing a deal with DAZN. Problem, the platform nicknamed “the Netflix of Sport” has revealed prices well beyond what fans have been accustomed to paying in recent years, with a no-obligation subscription at almost 40 euros per month to obtain eight of the nine posters from each weekend.

The beginnings were thus catastrophic, with the public leaning into the illegal market with IPTV. Since then, the group has revised its prices numerous times through various promotional offers. And this will continue in 2025. In fact, a “Mid-Season Pass” at the price of 69 euros has been put in place to be able to enjoy all the matches until the evening of the 34th day on May 18. Per month, this therefore amounts to 13.80 euros, the lowest rate applied by the broadcaster since the start of the season. Enough to allow DAZN to increase its number of subscribers?
