While twelve vehicles went up in smoke on the night of New Year's Eve in Onet-le-Château, investigations are underway and complaints have been recorded confirms the national police.
On the night of New Year's Eve, twelve cars went up in smoke in Onet-le-Château. Three different fire outbreaks were recorded between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., rue Saint-Paul and on Boulevard des Capucines, in the Quatre-Saisons district. The day after this rare event in Aveyron, now comes the time for investigations. These are in progress, and will clarify the reasons for these fires which occurred in a restricted area.
Complaints filed
For the moment, no leads have been ruled out, although the Aveyron national police specify that “the accidental track is not the one we favor”. However, to date, no person has been arrested in this case. “We work tirelessly”continue the police. From this 1is January morning, teams from the technical and scientific police went to the site to carry out various surveys. These should help investigators in their research.
At the same time, several complaints were filed at the Rodez police station by certain owners of the cars that went up in smoke.
