At the beginning of October, identity activist Tommy Robinson was sentenced to 18 months in prison, after violating a court decision prohibiting him from repeating defamatory remarks against a Syrian refugee. In a film entitled “Silenced”, broadcast during a rally in London at the end of July, he notably reiterated these “false allegations”. On October 26, thousands of demonstrators gathered in London to demand tougher measures on immigration and to support the activist. The demonstration was planned before the court decision.

At the time, Elon Musk was moved by the conviction. “Why does he have to serve an 18-month prison sentence? »he said. In July, he had already asked himself: “What did he do that would be considered terrorism?” ». On his social network X, this Thursday, he again called for the activist’s release: « Free Tommy Robinson ». The day before, he had written: “Why is Tommy Robinson in solitary confinement for telling the truth.” He should be released and those who covered up this tragedy should take his place in this cell. »

The Tesla boss also retweeted a message from far-right journalist Avi Yemini, who judged that Tommy Robinson was “a political prisoner”. And Elon Musk attacks current Prime Minister Keir Starmer: “In the UK, serious crimes such as rape require approval from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) before police can charge suspects. Who was in charge of the CPS when rapist gangs were allowed to exploit young girls without facing justice? Keir Starmer, 2008 -2013. Who is Jess Phillips (Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Protection and Violence Against Women and Girls) boss at the moment? Keir Starmer. The real reason she refuses to investigate gang rape is that it would obviously lead to blaming Keir Starmer. »
