The year starts off humidly in Dijon and the Côte d'Or where flakes could whiten the floor. A rain disturbance reached the department this morning of January 2. Faced with these weather conditions, Météo France has set up a yellow snow-ice warning for the Côte-d'Or, which will be in force from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. as for around fifteen other departments in the northern part of France.
During the morning, in an increasingly cold atmosphere, snow begins to replace the rain on the heights of Champagne-Ardenne in Lorraine. A layer of a few centimeters forms on the heights of Champagne-Ardenne in Lorraine around 300/400 m and later in the evening in Burgundy Franche-Comté.
In addition, Météo France has announced a new snow-ice yellow vigilance for next night, from midnight to 10 a.m., in the Côte d'Or department while night temperatures will be around zero degrees.
