Among the important announcements, President Faye highlighted the priority of peace in Casamance and presented the Diomaye Plan for Casamance (PDC) to support the return of displaced populations and the peace process. He also reiterated his confidence in the Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko who detailed, during his general policy declaration, the main orientations of the government program, backed by the National Transformation Agenda – Senegal 2050.
The Head of State announced during his speech the launch of the “Ligeeyal sa reew” platform in the first quarter of 2025, allowing each Senegalese to submit their candidacy for public positions in competition or to propose projects and opportunities for ‘investment. He also mentioned the introduction of four bills on transparency and good governance, which will be submitted to the National Assembly.
The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, expressed his gratitude to the Senegalese people for their democratic maturity and stressed the importance of the fight against corruption to enable real change.
