From January 13, 2025, Erena, the “Nantes Métropole heat network” and subsidiary of Engie, is carrying out extension and connection work to the Center Loire heat network at the level of the rue Mercœur.

This construction phase will end at the end of March. Constraints are therefore to be expected during the work.

Provide proof

Residents, who will no longer be able to access their private parking space during the work, will be able to apply for temporary authorization to park in the neighborhood with the Pôle Nantes Centralité.

For this, it will be necessary provide proof of address and the registration number of the vehicle concerned.

“Safe and cost-effective energy”

The project to extend the Center Loire heating network is part of the Nantes Métropole Climate Plan and “will allow a greater number of Nantes residents access to safe and cost-effective energy” according to Nantes Métropole.

As a reminder, a heat network, or district heating network, is a heat distribution system from a centralized production facility. It distributes the heat necessary for the production of domestic hot water and heating across a neighborhood or city.
