Friday, December 20, around 5 p.m., when the school bus arrives in front of theécoledozens of people blocked the road to Plourac’h (Côtes-d'Armor).
This demonstration, however, had nothing to do with protest, as was assured by the message written on a huge banner: “Happy retirement Mimi! »
Mimi, it's Marie-Christine Le Bris who, since September 1992, has accompanied the students of the intercommunal educational group on a daily basis on their journeys between the three schools of Plourac'h, Carnoët and Plusquellec. She was also responsible for monitoring the Plourac'h canteen and then the lunch break after the meal.
After getting off the bus, Marie-Christine, welcomed by a guard of honor of children, was cheered by the hundred or so students, parents, elected officials, colleagues, teachers and non-teachers, current or former, who were waiting for her. in the multipurpose room.
An active retirement
Philippe Le Guilcher, president of the RPI union, on behalf of everyone, praised the “exemplary work, availability and good humor” of Marie-Christine, before wishing her “a very happy retirement with your family”.
A retirement that Marie-Christine wants to be “active”, planning to cycle, walk, aquabike, and start playing bowls! However, she will make time for her four children, eight grandchildren and her husband Michel, recalling her many memories: “Thank you to all the children, colleagues, elected officials and parents. All our fights waged for the preservation of our schools, by demonstrating to defend the maintenance of RPI classes, will remain forever engraved in my memory.”
