François Bonneau, President of the Centre-Val de Loire Region as well as Philippe Fournié, Deputy Vice-President for Transport and Mobility will visit in the afternoon of Thursday January 9, 2025 at Montargis station, not far from Orléans (Loiret) in order toinaugurate the first electric retrofitted Rémi coach which will circulate in the Department.
A major breakthrough
The objective of the Region: release its 500 coaches circulating on regular lines from diesel by 2028.
Currently, three electric vehicles use the roads of Indre-et-Loire, Cher and Loir-et-Cher. Eure-et-Loir and Indre have forty bioNGV vehicles.
In September 2023, Centre-Val de Loire accelerated in the race for decarbonization by ordering twenty retrofitted electric vehicles from Transdev. These will be distributed this way:
- 6 on the Rémi 45 network (Loiret)
- 10 on the Rémi 37 network (Indre-et-Loire)
- 4 on the Rémi 41 network (Loir-et-Cher)
Two similar inaugurations will take place soon in Montrichard (Loir-et-Cher) and Langeais (Indre-et-Loire).
