Until Friday January 3, a bus parked at Gravier (opposite the Serra hotel) presents an exhibition highlighting comic strips. Entrance to this MuMo (mobile museum) is free.
The exhibition was designed by the International City of Comics and Images of Angoulême in partnership with the Poitou-Charentes Regional Contemporary Art Fund. It targets all audiences, from senior residents to the youngest students.
Around forty works
The original plates presented in this mini-exhibition room embrace all styles (figurative, abstract, surreal, etc.) and adopt all techniques: polychrome lithography, drawings in Indian ink or graphite, watercolors, charcoal , colored pencil and felt-tip pens… In this small space, artists from all walks of life come together: Asian, American, European… Ingrid Brochard, founder of Mumo, explained at its launch: “this museum traveling allows children to develop their emotional intelligence, their imagination, their capacity for expression. » It is true that the great diversity of the works challenges and keeps the visitor on alert.
Two mediators ensure the link
To answer visitors’ questions, two young mediators are permanently present. They will also run workshops (thematic, technical, etc.) on Thursday January 2 and Friday January 3. The Maison Montesquieu social center, the ALSH les Iles (leisure center), the Pont-du-Casse children’s center are already registered.
Since October 2024, MuMo has attempted to make contemporary creation accessible to populations who are furthest away from it, including those in priority villages and neighborhoods of city policy. This journey will therefore have ended in Agen in the hope that the public will have found there a source of escape and the desire to discover works in many other places.
