More than 300 brave people take the plunge for a New Year's swim in Saint-Raphaël

No wind, an almost scorching sun, a cloudless sky, mild temperatures: the recipe for success for as many swimmers as possible!

There were a little more than three hundred of them having a foot, or more, in sea water, at the Agay nautical base, in Saint-Raphaël, which was measured at around 15°C.

Masterfully organized like every year by the Agay Entertainment Committee, there were around 2,000 people to attend the “show” where the musical warm-up allowed all the courageous to then go for a dip.

Some even spent more time in the water than expected! Even if it means forgetting the mulled wine, the sandwich or the festive atmosphere that awaited them, back on dry land.

“In terms of attendance, it’s a good year”appreciated the organizers. Premonitory of such a good year 2025?

Next swim Tuesday morning in Roquebrune-sur-Argens

The ASCS and the municipality are renewing the New Year's swim at the end of the year, Tuesday January 31 at Les Issambres, San Peïre beach.

The brave are expected there from 10 a.m. to register (a t-shirt offered to the first comers), before warming up to music thanks to the group Dance With Me.

And at 11 a.m., everyone takes the plunge! A snack will be offered to participants.

Apart from the competition which will reward the most beautiful swimmers' disguise, there will also be an egg hunt giving entitlement to gifts.
