FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to obtain a 72-hour extension to register players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor in LaLiga. This extension will allow the Catalan club to keep both players in its flagship team, as the initial deadline of December 31 approached.
According to sources from the Azulgrana entity speaking to EFE, this trilateral agreement allows Barcelona to finalize the documentation required by LaLiga regarding the transfer and use of new VIP boxes at the Spotify Camp Nou, in exchange for approximately 100 million euros.
LaLiga had requested payment guarantees for the contracts of the two investment partners who will manage the new boxes, and that Barcelona receive an advance on these contracts. However, the club argued that with New Year’s Eve approaching, it was impossible to provide all the necessary documentation, leading to a request for a few more working days to substantiate the payments.

The deal, secured by club president Joan Laporta in Dubai last week, was sought after the club’s failed legal attempts to register the two footballers. This should also allow Barcelona to return to the 1:1 Financial Fair Play rule.
This means that in addition to ensuring the continuity of Olmo and Víctor in the first team, Barcelona could operate at full capacity in the next transfer market.
