The national beach Soccer team, reigning African champion, is in full preparation for the World Cup which will take place in May 2025. The Lions will play two friendly matches next month.
The coach of the Lions of Football on the sand made the announcement of the preparation matches at the start of the regrouping, on December 16. “We have made requests, we are waiting for feedback. The Senegalese Football Federation will make the announcement in due time,” said Ngalla Sylla.
The FSF made the announcement this Monday, December 30. The Beach Soccer Lions who have started preparations for the 2025 World Cup will play two friendly matches against the United Arab Emirates on January 8 and 9 in Dubai. It is also in this Arab country that the last World Cup was held where the Lions stopped in the first round last February, a first since 2015.
The 2025 World Cup will take place from May 1 to 11 in the Seychelles Islands. Senegal and Mauritania will represent Africa.
