For this evening of December 31, fans of outdoor festivities will be delighted since the weather will be mild. If the North-West offers temperatures between 4 degrees in Tours and 12 degrees in Brest, the South-East risks being more frosty with temperatures between -2 degrees in Bourg-Saint-Maurice in Savoie, and all of even 9 degrees in Nice.
The weather will be dry over most of the territory except on the Breton and Normandy coasts. Paradoxically, it is in this area that the temperatures will be the mildest with 11 degrees in Cherbourg and 12 degrees in Brest.

Six departments placed on yellow alert
Be careful in certain departments. Météo-France has placed six departments on yellow alert for risks of snow-ice, floods and avalanches. In detail, the departments affected by the floods are: Aisne, Oise and Meuse. The yellow “snow-ice” vigilance involves the Ardennes, the Marne and the Meuse. Finally, Savoie was placed on yellow alert for avalanche risk. You will therefore need to be careful on the roads in these areas during your travels this New Year’s Eve.
