Following the dismissal of Paulo Fonseca, the Lombardy club officially announced the appointment of another Portuguese coach, Sergio Conceiçao, who is currently without a contract. Both coaches had been approached by Olympique de Marseille recently, before Roberto De Zerbi was finally appointed.
AC Milan, currently 8th in Serie A, appointed Portuguese coach Sergio Conceiçao on Monday, shortly after terminating the duties of his compatriot Paulo Fonseca, who had been in post since July. These two names had been strongly associated with Marseille during the last summer transfer window, before Roberto De Zerbi was finally named OM coach.
Sergio Conceiçao, aged 50, has signed a contract until June 30, 2026, as indicated in a press release from AC Milan, who are 14 points behind Serie A leaders Atalanta Bergamasca, after their home draw against AS Roma (1-1) this Sunday. The former right winger knows Serie A well, having played in the league from 1998 to 2004, representing Lazio, Parma and Inter.
