Andrea Binotto is the new coach of Stade Nyonnais, indicates the Swiss Football League. The Vaudois succeeds Christophe Caschili, sacked last month for not having agreed to a pay cut.
Aged 54, Andrea Binotto emerged as head of Stade Lausanne-Ouchy, which he led from the 2nd Inter League to the Challenge League. He then had two mixed experiences at Neuchâtel Xamax and Servette FC where he was responsible for training the U21s.
In Nyon, Andrea Binotto’s first mission will be to ensure maintenance. The Coast club occupied last place in the standings for a long time before picking up eight points in their last four matches to currently rank 8th.
