The latest demographic figures are known. L’National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies revealed its data on Thursday December 19, 2024.

With an average annual change of 1.9% between 2016 and 2022, Réminac is the commune of Oust in Brocéliande community to have known the strongest growth between 2016 and 2022 according to INSEE figures. It gained 46 inhabitants in six years.

If we refer to the number of inhabitants gained, it is Serent which welcomed the most newcomers. The municipality gained 338 inhabitants (1.8% average annual growth) in six years to reach 3,386.

She is followed by Beignon which lists 100 more inhabitants (+ 0.9%). According to the 2022 municipal population, the municipality has 1,939 inhabitants.

In third position, it is Saint-Guyomard, which was favored by the new settlers with 88 additional Guyomardais in six years (+ 1.1% growth.) Which brings its total population to 1,446 inhabitants.

And the one that lost the most inhabitants?

According to data communicated by INSEE, the municipality of Guer is the one which lost the most inhabitants between 2016 and 2022, with a decline of 203 inhabitants (- 0.5%, according to the average annual change).

Carentoir records the departure of 92 residents (-0.5%). The municipalities of Caro (- 0,5 %) et Ruffiac(-0.4%) both lost 32 inhabitants between 2016 and 2022.
