The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued a vigilance level alert bulletin Orangeforecasting heavy snowfall, a cold snap and thunderstorms in several regions of the Kingdom, from Sunday to Wednesday. Snowfall of 15 to 35 cm is expected in the provinces of Azilal, Tinghir, Al Haouz and Ouarzazate, while accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are forecast in Midelt, Taroudant, Beni Mellal and Ifrane.
Temperatures will experience a significant drop, with minimums oscillating between -5 and 1°C and maximums between 4 and 10°C, particularly in the provinces of Boulemane, Midelt, Ifrane, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Al Haouz, Tinghir, Figuig and Ouarzazate. These climatic conditions could disrupt traffic and daily life, particularly in mountainous areas.
Furthermore, locally heavy stormy showers (15-30 mm) are expected on Sunday, between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m., in the provinces of Youssoufia, Rehamna, Marrakech, El Kelaâ des Sraghna, Chichaoua, Settat, Khouribga, Benslimane and Fquih Ben Salah. The authorities are calling on citizens to exercise caution and comply with safety instructions to avoid any risks linked to bad weather.
