Cross-country skiing: Jessie Diggins impresses again
It was under a beautiful sun that the second day of Tour de Ski competitions 2024/2025. On the program, a classic 15 kilometer mass-start where the cross-country skiers were the first to set off Toblach (Italy), site of this fourth stage of the cross-country skiing world cup.
After his victory won during the skate sprint opening the day before, Jessie Diggins did it again in the first distance race of the tour. Placed in the leading group over the kilometers, the American however lost contact a few times before, as is often the case, sticking it back together to play its card in the final packaging.
On the attack in the last bump of the course, the world number one made the difference and held on until the line to treat yourself to a double and consolidate its lead in the general classification of Ski Tour.
Behind her, Kerttu Niskanen has a new one played a nice trick in his favorite style. Always in contact, the Finn has lets its power speak at the end of the course to get ahead Astrid Oeyre Slindwho has long been at the head of the pack in trying to make gaps.
