As many of the entertainment programs are designed on a weekly basis, we will find meetings offered every Tuesday. They are nonetheless very suitable. Even if torchlight descents and fireworks remain the absolute “musts” of New Year’s Eve in the evening, at variable times.
Bonneval-sur-Arc
To end the year with a good sporting resolution, why not try biathlon? It’s at 10 o’clock on the multi-sports ground, behind the tourist office.
At 7 p.m., the French Ski School (ESF) offers a torchlight descent of the Vallonet slope, provided you have at least snowflake level (€6 per torch).
Bessans
Like every Tuesday, at 10 a.m. you can discover the profession of tracker (free), and at 6 p.m. take part in a nighttime discovery of the village with a guide from the Pays d’art et d’histoire (€6, children €3) .
Then it’s time for the party, with a ball at the Espace Albaron from 10 p.m. It is rumored and confirmed that the mayor himself, Jérémy Tracq, will put on his DJ costume and be on the decks!
Val Cenis
Activities are offered in several villages in the commune. So, Sollières-Envers don’t give up, for New Year’s Eve, the guided tour of the archeology museum, at 2 p.m. (from €3.30 to €13 depending on the age and composition of the family).
From 8 a.m. you can go to the Vieux-Moulin gondola for the Tuesday operation, “First Trace”. It involves participating in the opening of the slopes, then enjoying breakfast in an exceptional setting. However, you must register the day before, until 3:30 p.m., at one of the tourist offices in Haute-Maurienne Vanoise (€10).
In the evening, go to Lanslevillard for, at 5:15 p.m., the last ESF torchlight descent (€7), then at 6:15 p.m. the sled descent on the La Colomba snow front. At 10 p.m., departing from the Val-Cenis-le-Haut gondola, DJ evening and fireworks at midnight.
The Standard
Let’s start with well-being, with back fascia yoga at 10 a.m. at Maison de La Norma (€5), then move on to sport at 2 p.m. with, in La Repose, a discovery of biathlon. Those interested in heritage will discover the secrets of the Marie-Thérèse redoubt, from 10 a.m. (€3 for 7-15 year olds, free for under 7 year olds) in a format suitable for young people.
For those who are still up for it, the snow front will maintain a crazy atmosphere, with a dancefloor, from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., and a fireworks display to finish.
Aussois
The small Tuesday tourist market is maintained, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. In the evening, the children’s lantern descent will start, on the snow front, at 5:40 p.m. (€9). The adults’ torchlight descent is a little later (6:30 p.m.), and the fireworks will follow.
The festive evening, with DJ Valentin Walker, near the departure of the Grand-Jeu chairlift, will start at 10 p.m. and continue until 2 a.m.
Valfrejus
For those who would like to isolate themselves, go to the Charmasson chairlift at 8:15 a.m. for an igloo construction workshop. We sleep very well there, it seems…
For the party, the Arrondaz plateau will resound with electro music all day long, with the station’s mascots not being left out dancing. At the end of the day, it’s time for the children’s “megaminidisco”, at 4:30 p.m. on Place du Thabor.
At 9 p.m., the New Year’s DJ dancefloor party will take over, for adults, with fireworks at 11:59 p.m. sharp, at the foot of the Arrondaz gondola.
Orelle
The Blanc comme neige company will deliver a strolling show from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by fireworks from the cable car parking lot, and visible from most residences in the village.
Valmeinier
From 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., “The police are on the trail,” we are told, to warn of possible New Year’s Eve excesses. It’s better than cure, because afterwards, let’s judge: on the snow front, at 5 p.m. blind test dedicated to the new year, at 6:30 p.m. torchlight descent with the ESF (€8) , then from 9 p.m. to half past midnight, snow party with DJ Swaro.
Valloire
The ESF instructors will carry out their torchlight descent at 6:15 p.m. The New Year’s Eve party will take place in front of the cinema, with DJ, from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with the fireworks going off at midnight.
Les Karellis
We’ll take it easy to start, at the Montricher ecomuseum, open to the life of yesteryear from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (2 euros). The torchlight descent and fireworks are at 6 p.m., on the snow front.
Albiez-Montrond
You have to be at the snow front at Mollard at 5 p.m. if you don’t want to miss the parade of snow groomers, the slalom demonstration, the torchlight descent, and the unmissable fireworks display.
The Sybelles
The resorts of the massif together offer a before, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the top of Ouillon, with tasting of oysters accompanied by crémant de Savoie.

We focus on the evening at Corbier with the dancefloor opening at 9 p.m. on the snow front, and the fireworks at midnight. Everything is right.
Saint-Colomban-des-Villards offers a torchlight descent, with the ESF, at 6 p.m. (€5). The fireworks will be set off at 10 p.m. Then, the party room will be dedicated to the evening of the Sports Club, expert in the field, from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Saint-François-Longchamp
You can always be the “tracker for a day” drawn at random, who will leave on a snow groomer from 8:40 a.m. In the evening, the snow front will come alive from 6 p.m. for the New Year of Goupy, the fox mascot, who his colleague Opoual, the friendly yeti, will certainly not give up. All before a very rhythmic evening, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
