However, that wasn’t the only aspect of Disney that ended up influencing his work.
Disney-inspired villains
After having found the idea of the origin of Bu in Dragon Ball Daimanow is the time to remember that the name of one of the strongest villains in the Dragon Ball Z saga actually goes back to a legendary Disney film.

It is concretely a song, the one that Cinderella’s fairy godmother sang in 1950 to the tune of Bibidi Babidi Bu. If those names meant anything to you when a Dragon Ball Z character introduced us to the creator of Boo and his son, the wizards Bibidi and Babidi, now you know why. It’s a nod to one of the most powerful fairies in the Disney franchise.

It seems that at some point, for some reason, this melody crossed Toriyama’s mind while he was looking up names for the trio of villains from the Demon Realm in Dragon Ball. Without thinking too much about the matter, he decided to pay homage to him by using the song to name the enemies of Goku and his troupe.
