The prize for the best Algerian footballer on the African continent of the year 2024 was awarded to the attacking midfielder of Esperance de Tunis, Youcef Belaïli, during the first edition of the DZ Best Awards, organized by the sports magazine DZ Match.
The Algerian international was exceptional both in the colors of the national team and for CAF Champions League finalists TotalEnergies last season.
The voting period took place from 1is January to November 30, 2024 and voting was open to print and online journalists, as well as radio and television broadcasters.
“I am very honored to have been voted best Algerian player on the African continent for the year 2024. I dedicate this trophy to my parents, to my former club, MC Alger, as well as to my current team, ES Tunis»said Belaïli after receiving the trophy from the hands of former star of the Algerian national team, Hilal Soudani.
During this ceremony, CS Constantine striker Brahim Dib also received the prize for best player in the Algerian championship for the year 2024.
More than 32 players and 19 coaches have been nominated for these awards.
