New entertainment this Friday, December 27 from 9:05 p.m. on France 3: The great competition of the regions – The best choir in France. A program hosted by Cyril Féraud, with the participation of jurors Vincent Niclo, Magali Ripoll, Laurent Luyat and Adeline Toniutti.
10 choirs from 10 regions of mainland France and overseas were selected. They will represent their musical universe, from rock to disco, from gospel to lyrical or variety, on the stage of the Royal Palace, in Kirrwiller in Alsace.
The Choirs:
AUVERGNE RHONE-ALPES: AECOR. This choir is made up entirely of medical students from Lyon, it is one of the rare choirs this evening to be 100% a cappella. They will interpret us “Lovesickness” (Michel Sardou) and «Live life»(Coldplay).
BRITTANY: CHILDREN’S CHOIR OF BRITTANY. It has existed for over 40 years and is exclusively made up of children! It is also a former choirboy who saved it from disappearance a few years ago and who directs it today. They will interpret us “See your way” Then “The divine child was born.”
GRAND EST: LESZCZYNSKI CHOIR. The 20 singers of the Leszczynski Choir unite their voices for their specialty: great film scores. They will interpret us “The mills of my heart” (Michel Legrand) and « Carol of Bells » (Mom, I missed the Chorale plane).
HAUTS-DE-FRANCE: SALT AND PEPPER. There is no age limit for this rock choir and getting on stage! The Salt and Peppers are on average 73 years old! They will interpret us « We will Rock you » (Queen) and “That’s how it is.” (Rita Mitsouko) .
ILE-DE-FRANCE: Alexia and the CHAM choir from Henri-Dunant college. They are from Meaux, and more precisely from Henri-Dunant college. Alexia, the music teacher at this college, created this choir for students from 6th to 3rd grade. They will interpret us “Resists” by France Gall and « One Moment in Time » de Whitney Houston.
NORMANDY: MEP CHOIR of Caen la mer. Entirely feminine, a choir linked by a spirit of mutual aid, sisterhood and surpassing oneself! They will interpret us ” Oh mama “ (Abba) and « I’m dreaming of home ».
NEW AQUITAINE: SING OUT. Straight from Bordeaux, the Sing Out choir will show us that Bordeaux culture is not limited to good wines and canelés! In singing too they deliver! They will interpret us « Bang Bang » (Jessie J) and « Strong » (London Grammar) .
OCCITANIA: THE CRI-CHOR A CAPPELLA. Their song goes far beyond the borders of their region! It was in Toulouse that Le Cri choir A Capella was born. Inspired by this cosmopolitan city, this choir wants to bring together, open up, take people on a journey. They will interpret us « Ksenitia tu erota » et « Gueroung’ner » (traditional Armenia).
OVERSEAS TAHITI: TE REO NUI. This choir made the trip with its legendary mana to perform for us “Noel Noel” Then « Stand by me » (Ben E. King).
PAYS DE LOIRE: GOSPEL RHAPSODY They come from Nantes and they are all keen to use their voices to tell the story of gospel, carry strong messages and bring powerful songs to life. They will interpret us « Oh Happy Day » et « All I want for Christmas is you » (Mariah Carey).
