A long-awaited season 2 finally available

This December 26, 2024, the streaming platform put the episodes of this new part online. On the program, Gi-Hun, after participating in the deadly game, decides to return to the Squid Game.
However, the latter has a very different objective from the other participants, hoping to win 45.6 billion won. “Three years after winning the Squid Game, Gi-hun, player 456, has given up on going to the United States and returns with a new goal. Squid Game: a season 3 already in the pipeline?
Season 2 has not yet revealed all its secrets that fans are wondering about the series. Indeed, many are wondering if this is the end of the deadly game. But Squid Game fans can rejoice, because they will be entitled to a season 3. Moreover, the latter would already be in preparation. However, this season will be the last of the famous series. Creator Hwang Dong Hyuk wanted to end the story at the end of these next episodes.
However, if we had to wait 3 years between the end of season 1 and the start of season 2, that will not be the case for the next one. Indeed, season 3 of Squid Game will be released in the coming months. Information that the creator shared during the Lucca Comics and Games Festival which took place in Italy last October. Hwang Dong Hyuk claimed the episodes were already in post-production stage. However, the filming of this final season had an impact on season 2.
“I felt there was a big turning point”
Squid Game fans will quickly realize this. Indeed, season 2 of the famous South Korean series has fewer episodes than the previous season. However, this is not due to chance. Indeed, the producer decided to shoot season 2 and 3 at the same time. “I wrote seasons 2 and 3 at the same time, and we produced them both simultaneously. We are currently in full post-production of season 3”, Hwang Dong Hyuk recently explained in an interview with Deadline.
Subsequently, the latter added: “When I wrote the script for the two seasons, I felt there was a big turning point or pivot point, and it was at the end of episode 7. So I thought it would be a good idea to have a separate season coming afterward, and that’s why the first seven episodes constitute season 2, while the rest will be season 3.“We’re already looking forward to it.
