For the few who don't know or remember the film, it is a huge commercial success of the 80s. Mr. Crocodile Dundee, released in theaters in 1986, launched the icon of the character starring Paul Hogan, Michael J. Mick Dundee and starring Linda Kozlowski. Directed by Peter Faiman. The success was such that the film had sequels: Mr. Crocodile Dundee 2 in 1988 and Crocodile Dundee 3 in 2000. In the first film Michael J. The news of Burt the crocodile's death was confirmed by the facility where he had lived since 2008, Darwin's Crocosaurus Cove. It was a real attraction at the reptile wildlife site. The statement published on Instagram: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Burt, the iconic saltwater crocodile and star of the Australian classic Mr. Crocodile Dundee. Burt passed away peacefully over the weekend, with an estimated age of over 90, marking the end of an incredible era.” Burt had impressive size for a crocodile and a “very fiery temperament”. The press release further reads: “Burt embodied the rugged, rebellious spirit of the saltwater crocodile. He was truly one of a kind. He wasn't just a crocodile, he was a force of nature that reminds us of the power and majesty of these incredible creatures. Although his personality could be challenging, it was also what made him so memorable and loved by those who worked with him and the thousands of people who visited him over the years.”
