A bad injury on the pitch affected the goalkeeper of the Italian national team, Gianluigi Donnarumma, during a match for his Paris Saint-Germain. In the first half of the match against Monaco, during a match valid for the sixteenth day of the Ligue 1 championship, the goalkeeper from Campania received a cleat in the face after colliding with former Torino player Wilfried Singo. Donnarumma, after the blow, hit his head on the ground. Once emergency services arrived, the goalkeeper left the field on his own legs with a noticeable cut from which a lot of blood came out.
Ten stitches
The PSG goalkeeper was immediately treated by the Parisian team’s medical staff and was then accompanied off the pitch in the 22nd minute. Donnarumma required ten stitches on his right cheek, while he also suffered some injuries from the impact he received in the face, as revealed by Rmc Sport. Singo, who was already booked, did not receive any sanction from the referee and Donnarumma would not have appreciated the decision of the match director, François Letexier at all, so much so that in the corridors of the stadium during the interval he would have expressed his disappointment to the same referee.
