Gottéron is complete. Tuesday morning, on the eve of the trip to Langnau, all the players on the squad trained normally. So there were people on the ice at the BCF Arena. In total, 23 players and 3 goalkeepers!
After having signed two consecutive successes (Friday against Zug and Saturday in Lugano) without Marcus Sörensen, Mauro Dufner and Yannick Rathgeb (injured) as well as Killian Mottet (extra), will Friborg Gottéron appear in Emmental with the same staff?
No surprise
“There will be no change” declared the Dragons coach straight away when he presented himself to journalists after training. “This weekend, we performed well as a team, offensively and defensively,” added the Canadian. As a result, the aforementioned players will be supernumerary this Wednesday.
Met at the end of training, Killian Mottet, who has not yet scored a single goal this season in the Swiss championship, agreed to speak. He explained his disappointment, without tongue in cheek. “I’m disappointed in myself. I’m neither the first nor the last to go there. I have to work to find my place,” commented the 33-year-old Friborg striker.
According to Pat Emond, however, things could change this weekend. After Langnau on Wednesday, Julien Sprunger’s teammates will go to Bern on Saturday evening, before welcoming Ajoie on Sunday afternoon. Then, time for a break dedicated to the national teams.
Langnau against Fribourg-Gottéron, a game which will begin this Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. to follow on Frapp and on RadioFr.
