After a serious accident in which he was involved, Pierre Palmade had to face justice. Thus, following his trial, the comedian was sentenced to five years in prison, including two years. A legal decision with serious consequences for the former sidekick of Muriel Robin. And after this conviction, it seems that he has made a heavy decision, which could change his life.
Pierre Palmade: this proposed autobiography that makes one cringe
Today, he must wait for the decision of the Bordeaux court to find out in which penitentiary establishment he will be incarcerated, and this, before Christmas, according to our colleagues from RTL. “I am devastated by what I did. I hope the victims can rebuild their lives”he declared during his trial at the end of November. However, while he is in debt of several hundred thousand euros, Pierre Palmade has already been approached to carry out an autobiographical project.
Indeed, according to the literary director of a publishing house, interviewed by France Sundaye, a book could see the light of day: “From his childhood to his first steps in entertainment, from his dazzling successes to his personal struggles,
from his years under the influence of drugs to his ordeal in prison : a well-crafted autobiography could become a striking testimony”said this source who wishes to remain anonymous.
Did he really accept this project?
However, it does not seem certain that Pierre Palmade agreed to collaborate to produce his autobiography. On the set of Touche pas à mon poste on December 2, Gilles Verdez and Michel Mary returned to the latest information about the comedian: “They asked him to write his memoirs, they asked him to write an autobiography. According to some sources, it is quite controversial…”,
confides the journalist from Le Nouveau Détective.
Cyril Hanouna then abruptly returns to the possible debts of Pierre Palmade: “It seems that he has debts”. Indeed, Pierre Palmade would have large sums to repay:
“He has 250,000 euros in debt plus URSSAF problems that he would not have paid and also the tax problem”, indicates the news reporter.
“Now is not the time for autobiography”
To which Michel Mary responds straight away that the comedian “has
a pecuniary, financial immaturity that is quite incredible because he earned a lot of money and he spent a little haphazardly, whatever and there he found himself with less significant sums”. So for some, proposing a very personal and autobiographical subject to Pierre Palmade would be a way of bringing money into the coffers.
As a reminder, according to several people close to the actor, Pierre Palmade has almost no money coming in. But it seems, according to Gilles Verdez, that he is not ready to accept this project: “According to his entourage, this project will not happen, for the moment he is not ready to write his autobiography (…) Now is not the time for autobiography even if he has debts, even if it is complicated. I think there is a period of retrenchment where he will heal himself,” specifies the columnist of Touche pas à mon poste.
Concerning his conviction, he had until Monday December 2 to appeal the court's decision. sentenced him to five years in prison, two of which will be suspended. But Pierre Palmade did not wish to reject the conviction which followed the terrible accident he caused in February 2023. Tried for involuntary injuries, the comedian had caused irreversible damage to three people.
