Monday, December 2, the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel appears to be faltering. Strikes took place in particular in southern Lebanon, leaving residents destitute.

In Lebanon, the ceasefire with Israel is very fragile. This is evidenced by Israeli strikes on the south of the country, and a rocket launcher targeted by the forces of the Jewish state. On the evening of Monday, December 2, pro-Iranian Hezbollah in turn targeted Israel with two rockets, which caused no injuries.

Samar El Sahili, a teacher in Nabatieh (Lebanon), had found refuge in France. She returned home on Sunday, December 1, discovering a city that had been heavily bombed over the past two months. She expresses her despair after an Israeli drone struck again Monday afternoon: “We no longer want to talk about a ceasefire or war, we are more than tired”she testifies in the middle of the ruins. His neighbor also believed in the ceasefire: “We all came back to repair our houses (…), we are very surprised that there are still bombings”he laments in a devastated room. Lebanon and Israel denounce a violation of the truce.
