A serious road accident left one dead and one seriously injured on the D1036, near Crisenoy (Seine-et-Marne), Saturday November 30, 2024. A dump truck and a car collided head-on, reports The Republic of Seine-et-Marne .
An open investigation
The head-on collision occurred around 2:30 p.m. at an intersection. Aged 82, the man behind the wheel of the car died instantly, indicates The Parisian . The driver of the truck, a young man of 18, suffered multiple fractures. The latter found himself trapped inside his vehicle, and the emergency services took several hours before managing to free him. He was then rushed to Melun hospital.
For the moment, the precise circumstances of the accident remain unknown. A judicial investigation was opened and entrusted to the Melun gendarmerie to try to determine them, note our colleagues. Traffic in the area was disrupted for several hours while rescue and clean-up operations took place.
