“Very complicated file”
A “sensitive, very complicated file”, says a source close to the investigation which the soldiers, who are acting within the framework of an investigation led by judge Marion Aupied, hope to see resolved during the 48 hours of police custody. .
On September 9, the inert body of this 66-year-old woman was found at the foot of her sofa, in a pool of blood in her house in the hamlet of Glane, in Pranzac. It was one of his brothers, a farmer on the nearby farm, who made this macabre discovery. Since then, police, magistrates and lawyers have observed a total blackout. But according to our information, it is the older of the two suspects who is behind the murder. More precisely, stabbings which caused the death of Bernadette Bessout.
In particular, it was DNA traces that made it possible to trace this indictment. Currently in police custody in the premises of the Angoulême gendarmerie, this woman, a home helper, was employed by a structure and worked with Bernadette Bessout's parents. Nonagenarians who live just opposite the deceased's house. Bernardette Bessout would have criticized this woman for taking up too much space with her parents. And the relationship between the accused and the victim would have deteriorated… until the homicide. Her daughter, a student who was very often with her mother, is also in police custody, at the La Rochefoucauld gendarmerie.
Bernadette Bessout, née Pichon, lived in this pavilion that she had built a little over ten years ago with her husband, who died shortly after their installation. Bernadette lived right across the street from her parents' house, whom she took care of and saw almost every day. Very close to this house is also the Groupement Agricole d'Exploitation en Commun (Gaec) of his two farmer brothers, Jean-Paul and Rémi Pichon. Within this Gaec, Bernadette Bessout was responsible for accounting and carried out secretarial tasks. She had previously worked in Bordeaux as well as in the electricity company Omnium in Angoulême.
The police have 48 hours to question these two women. Who could be brought before the investigating judge on Wednesday morning.
