American actor Wayne Northrop died on Wednesday November 27, 2024 in Los Angeles at the age of 77, following Alzheimer's disease.

The actor Wayne Northrop died on Wednesday November 27, 2024, following complications from Alzheimer's disease from which he had suffered for several years. The American actor, native of Sumner (Washington State), died in Los Angeles, at the Motion Picture and Television Woodland Hills Home, a rest and care home dedicated specifically to members of the film and television industry.

It was actress Lynn Herring, Northrop's wife of more than 40 years, who officially announced the sad news in a press release published on Sunday, December 1, 2024: “Wayne was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease 6 years ago. He took his last breath in the arms of his family. We would like to thank this incredible and caring institution that is the Motion Picture and Television Home, which took great care of him Wayner touched so many people throughout his career with his great sense of humor and his spirit (…) He was my husband for 43 years, the best dad to his two boys. , Hank and Grady, a breeder who loved his cows and a friend to so many.”

Very well known and popular in his native country, Wayne Northrop began his television career in the late 1970s in the family comedy Eight is enoughwhose actor Adam Rich died just a few months ago. From 1981, he became Michael Culhane, the driver of the Carrington family in the series which has become cult Dynasty and, the same year, he joined the soap Days of our livesin which he played the role of Roman Brady until 1994 (he would return to the series years later, with another character: Alex North).
