The Sûreté du Québec took responsibility for the murder investigation.

The municipality of Val-des-Monts, in Outaouais, was the scene of a murder on Sunday.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) indicates that its crimes against the person investigation department took over responsibility around 1:30 p.m. for a public security investigation of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais.
The police officers of the MRC noted, during an intervention on Chemin des Cerisiers, in Val-des-Monts, that two people had been seriously injured. The death of one of the two victims, a woman, was noted on site. The other victim, a man, was evacuated to a hospital where his life was believed to be in danger.
Camille Savoie, spokesperson for the SQspecifies that the provincial police took responsibility for the murder investigation, because it is she who has the level of service to be able to investigate this type of event

The agent adds that the SQ work in close collaboration with the public security police officers of the MRC of the Hills
