The “Tourism and Culture” section of the Graulhétois Artistic Awakening is organizing its 52nd Departmental Photographic Fair, the Basane d'or.

The photographic exhibition takes place from November 29 to December 7 at the FAR room, rue Général Sudre and is aimed at all regional amateur photographers, excluding professionals.

Two themes were chosen for this year. The shoe and the old mechanics. Each participant presented a maximum of four photos in black and white or color, on film or digital media in the format of 30 x 45 cm including framing.

Around ten photographers participated in the exhibition, offering a wide variety of images.

A jury composed of Alain Ricard (Studio Bimouat), Karine Puech (KP photography) and Pierre Assémat, all photography professionals, determined the various awards. There will therefore be the Basane d'Or black and white series prize, the Mendés color series prize and the Artistic Awakening prize in both categories. They scrupulously studied each photograph based on criteria of depth of field, originality of the subject or framing and coherence of the series exhibited.

The winners are Michèle Durand, M. Ribes, Mijo and Christine Hebrard. The exhibition will be open from Monday to Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is organized by the Graulhétois artistic awakening and for many years, led by Geneviève Ribes who is almost the founder, alongside Anne-Marie Jardry the president, who continues to promote art in our city. A big thank you to Graulhétoise Jeanine Bressole, facilitator of the photo club, for her investment in the organization.

The collection of works will take place on Saturday, December 14 from 5:30 p.m., FAR room. For any information [email protected]
