RTL revealed, yesterday, information which could constitute a twist in the investigation into the death of little Émile. Indeed, experts from the Bordeaux forensic hematology laboratory found, by analyzing the few bones and Emile's clothes found last March and April, two traces of DNA. These are two traces of unknown human DNA, foreign to that of Émile and that of his family.
The information should be taken with caution, because investigators do not exclude that these could be traces linked to accidental contamination.
For the moment, the death of little Émile remains unexplained, neither the accidental nor the criminal trail having been ruled out.
The child disappeared on July 8, 2023 from his grandparents' house in Haut-Vernet (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), sparking immense emotion, but also controversies targeting the family. The speech of his parents in 2023, then the intervention of his mother, a year ago, had stirred public opinion. His bones were found last March.
