In pre-national the match was close, but did not go to the advantage of the Creusotines. As in Regional (our photos)
U18 girls match against Beaune:
Defeat 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-22)
Word from the coach:
A team with a good collective and girls who get along rather well, a good start to the match against a rather solid Beaune team.
The girls have some difficulty getting back into it when they go through a series. I still observed great efforts on communication as well as concentration during the match. A great match which only promises good things despite a 3-0 defeat.
Men's regional match 2 against Chenove:
Defeat 3-0 (25-20, 25-9, 25-15)
Word from the coach:
A match which started off difficult because we were led by Chenove at the start of the first set but we managed to be more precise and make fewer errors so we finished the set at 25/20, almost 10 points apart this time. which should have given us confidence for the future. But unfortunately that was not the case and the 2 sets that followed were marked by a lack of play on our side.
Despite the result of this match and the few points we scored, which I consider very hard to see, I see progress, especially in service reception.
We now need to work on our offensive phases, whether in service where we generally make too many errors or in attack where we rarely manage to be decisive.
For the next matches we will have to play up to our progress and not repeat the same matches as all those we played at the start of the season.
Hoping as a coach that I manage to keep the team hopeful.
Men's regional match 1 against Sennecey:
Victoire 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-21)
Word from the coach:
We started the tournament in a difficult group, against Sennecey (1st in the ranking) and Chalon 2 (3rd). This naturally put a little pressure, but the players showed great things: communication, construction, and the phases of play that we had worked on in training. Thanks to this, we managed to beat Chalon 2 and qualify directly for the semi-finals after the group matches. Unfortunately, we lost the next two matches, probably due to a lack of consistency and visible irritation over certain lost balls. Nevertheless, we finished in 4th place out of 7, which is a good performance for a 3rd place, and we are seeing clear progress among our players.
Word from the captain:
Very good match where, even after a complicated start, we were able to reverse the trend and show all our abilities.
Even with absentees we beat Sennecey at home in a tense atmosphere, everyone contributed, whether in the game or in the voice on the bench.
Extremely proud of everyone for the work and seriousness provided this year which allowed us to achieve results like this.
Women's regional match against Fontaine les Dijon:
Defeat 3-1 (21-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-16)
Word from the coach:
Despite losing a match 1 set to 3 against Fontaine les Dijon, the Reg girls defended themselves very well. There were some very good things done like the defense and the reception but we still lack that finish on the attack. The team has made a lot of progress which is encouraging for the future.
Women's pre-national match against Sens:
Loss 3-2 (21-25, 25-16, 25-14, 14-25, 15-5)
Word from the coach:
We had a very mixed match with some very good and some not good. We were short-staffed so we tinkered around a bit. Despite everything, this is not an excuse, with communication and more smiles we could have gone home with victory. Despite everything, we reacted well in the 4th set after being down 2 sets to 1. We lacked a little experience and energy to win the tie break. Thank you very much to the Sens club for its welcome and its invitation to their Elite Women’s team’s match.
