According to the police force, the incident occurred on August 10 at 10:25 p.m. while two men were talking in the parking lot of a high school near avenue P.-M.-Favier and rue de Charny in the borough of Montreal-North.

“Two armed suspects opened fire before fleeing,” Montreal police said. “Once on scene, police discovered a 26-year-old man seriously injured by gunshot.”

Officers found bullet holes in parked vehicles and shell casings on the ground.

“The victim was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries,” police added. Another man was injured during the same incident.”

This is the 19th murder committed in the territory in 2022.

Tuesday’s searches are being carried out in collaboration with police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
