What is the relationship of Belgians with extreme parties? This was one of the questions in our Big Barometer RTL info – Ipsos – Le Soir. Analysis of responses.
The PTB entered several municipal majorities, whether in Mons or very recently in Molenbeeek, this Tuesday. On the other side of the political spectrum, for the far right, the answers are very different between the north and the south of the country. Still according to our Grand Barometer, 58% of Flemish people find it acceptable that Vlaams Belang enters into municipal majorities. A number which drops drastically among those questioned in Wallonia and Brussels with respectively 25% and 26% of respondents who find the entry of Vlaams Belang into municipal majorities acceptable. “We find a real north-south divide,” concludes our specialist.
Remember that Vlaams Belang has a first mayor in Flanders, in Ninove, and that the far-right party entered a new majority this Tuesday, in Brecht, in the province of Antwerp.
