A nice gesture to help him hold on. Luka Modric (39 years old) brought his 2018 Golden Ball to a young 18-year-old footballer who has been hospitalized for several months with a serious head injury. The young man, Ivan Scepina, is paralyzed on his left side and can barely speak. The Real Madrid star’s attention allowed him to touch the trophy and pose with it, in addition to being entitled to a Champions League ball and an autographed jersey.

“I wanted him to have it for a while. So they were able to take a picture with him and maybe that will help him stay strong during his recovery. In this difficult situation, it was the least that I can do”, testified Luka Modric, local media report.
Player of MNE Kurilovec in the Croatian third division, Ivan Scepina fell five meters when falling from the roof of his house. This accident, which occurred in June, caused a fracture of the skull and a dislocation of the jaw, in addition to partially paralyzing him.
