Art in all its forms was in the spotlight, Sunday November 24, 2024, at the Jean-Moulin cultural space, in Saint-Lauren-Nouan. In addition to the exhibition-sale of the different sections of Arts and Leisure, prizes were awarded to the artists of the exhibition Meeting of the arts. Three hundred and sixteen art lovers gave their verdict and the prizes were awarded around 5 p.m.
The school prize was awarded to Ms. Monchâtre's CM1 class for the painting The future city. The municipal prize, presented by Élisabeth Guiberteau, cultural assistant, rewarded Josseline Apsit for her painting The Gypsy.
The public prize was awarded to Hélène Touchet for her acrylic painting Aras, with sixty votes. Bernadette Huge came second with her work entitled Les Chenapans and third place goes to Josseline Apsit with her painting Life is a patchwork.
President Jean-Claude Toutain presented the various prizes and highlighted the quality of the organization managed by Maryvonne LeCorre and Maryline Marrocco.
Next year’s theme will be “France!” “. New, three prizes for children will be awarded: a prize from local schools, a prize from the children's painting section of Arts and Leisure and a prize for opening to a school in an outside commune.
