According to information from 20 Minutesthe police reportedly asked people living in the building not to touch the mailboxes. Those who had gone out could not return home. As for those who were at home, they were asked to stay at home, the daily said.

Later, around 6:15 p.m., the police evacuated the building in question via the basement. The residents were taken and welcomed to the Le Corbusier school and all the mailboxes were checked and opened.

This case is reminiscent of another. Last August, a man was injured in the leg when he picked up a garbage bag placed in front of the landing of his apartment, this time in the Saint-Jean district. The bag had exploded. The OAG took up the matter and opened an investigation.
