Aude and Hérault are no longer placed on orange alert for rain and flooding on Saturday November 9. Despite the power of the precipitation since yesterday evening, no major damage has been reported according to initial findings.

The Aude prefecture announced the change in vigilance around midnight on X. Same thing for the Hérault prefecture, early in the morning. “Weather France noted cumulative precipitation of 80 to 100 millimeters in a very localized manner between and Sète on the coast” she indicates in a post on the X network.

This is particularly the case in Marseillan-Plage. According to information from Météo Thau on Facebook at 7:35 a.m., it fell “more than 120 millimeters“of rain in the area, including “lots of water on the roads“.

This observation was corroborated this morning by The Weather Channel. “Since last night, the equivalent of 3 weeks of rain in the month of November has already fallen.” writes the station on the X network.

Aude and Hérault nevertheless remain on yellow alert for rain and flooding today. Precipitation should gradually fade by midday.
