Brad Pitt has a new motorcycle, but not just any motorcycle: a BMW made especially for him. We know that the actor has always been a big fan of two-wheelers and has often been a guest of Valentino Rossi during the Grands Prix. “I would like to be like him,” he even said about the pilot. “This guy is a real magician. He is capable of hypnotizing me”. His passion also led him to produce Hitting the Apexa documentary film about MotoGP.
How did Brad Pitt's passion for motorcycles begin?
If Brad Pitt has owned several Harley-Davidsons over time, this new BMW is a special case. It was manufactured by Roughchild Moto, one of the most famous American customizers, who works exclusively with old BMWs with boxer engines. Roughchild Moto counts other internationally renowned actors, such as Ryan Reynolds, among its clients.

Brad Pitt's bike was built from a 1985 R80, of which very few original parts remain. The engine was replaced with another one-liter boxer from an R100RS before being rebuilt piece by piece, producing 73 hp, compared to the R80's original 50 hp.
Let's talk a little about technique
Among the features of Roughchild Moto's work is a maniacal attention to every detail, as well as a certain aesthetic minimalism. On the technical side, there is not much left of the original R80: the telescopic fork has been replaced by an inverted fork (fully adjustable) supplied by Öhlins, renowned as the best manufacturer in this field.
