At least four people were killed and 21 injured in a Russian missile strike that hit a store and a residential building in east-central Ukraine.

At least four people were killed and 21 injured on Saturday (November 30) in a Russian missile strike near Dnipro, in east-central Ukraine, authorities said.

“A rescue operation is underway in the Dnipro district after a missile strike (…) Currently, we are aware of four people killed by this Russian strike,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Telegram.

A residential building and a store affected

According to him, this strike “damaged a residential building and a store”. The regional governor, Serguiï Lyssak, for his part reported that 21 people were injured, eight of whom were “in serious condition”.

“They suffer from penetrating injuries, internal organ damage and fractures,” he said on Telegram.

The city of Dnipro, which had 970,000 inhabitants before the war, was targeted on November 21 by a launch from the Russian experimental hypersonic missile “Orechnik”. This strike targeted a major military factory, PivdenMach, which notably manufactures components for missiles.
