The departure of Milan Skriniar is taking shape. Unhappy with his situation at Paris Saint-Germain, where he does not fit into Luis Enrique's plans, he announced several weeks ago that he wanted to leave the club this winter
Following this announcement, the Slovak defender was immediately in the sights of Juventus. The Turin club wants to strengthen its central defense this winter to compensate for the long absence of Gleison Breimer, who is out for the rest of the season.
Skriniar wants to leave PSG for Juventus
This deal therefore immediately appeared credible. Especially since Milan Skriniar knows Serie A very well as he played there from 2016 to 202, for Sampdoria then for Inter Milan. Foot Mercato announced this Monday evening that this deal had progressed well in recent days.
According to their information, the 29-year-old defender has already agreed to join the Turin club in January. Juventus and PSG have, for their part, already started discussions about a transfer this winter.
Negotiations in progress
However, nothing is finalized in this deal. The club from the French capital would be quite greedy for its 29-year-old Slovak international. “The Parisian club is demanding a significant sum from the Italians,” writes Foot Mercato, which does not mention a precise amount.
To reduce this price, the Italian giant would like to include one or more players in the transaction. Note that this option has already been mentioned in recent weeks, after PSG's interest in Nicolo Fagioli. The two players having the same market value, 20 million euros, a possible exchange this winter has been mentioned by the transalpine press.
Other clubs on the scene
In any case, if negotiations with Juventus go nowhere, there are other clubs interested in Milan Skriniar. Freiburg have reportedly made an offer of 15 million euros for the Slovakian while Premier League clubs remain interested in his profile.
The amount of the transfer and his salary will not be a problem for the English clubs, whose identities have not been filtered.
