It is perhaps the biggest meeting in the history of Stade Brestois. The Ty' Zefs travel to Catalonia today to face the legendary FC Barcelona, a monument to the history of European football with its 5 Champions Leagues and its 27 Spanish champion titles (not to mention the 31 Spanish Cups). ). The Brestois are savoring this new European page in their history, without complexes with their 10 points and fourth place in this qualifying phase.
Their supporters too. Already arriving en masse, there were several hundred of them last night who gathered in a festive atmosphere in the center of Barcelona. After making a detour to collect their nominative places at the Poble Espanyol, an open-air museum near the Olympic stadium, they arranged to meet near the Ramblas, the emblematic Catalan avenue, to meet again and sing of glory of their club.
They actually sang a lot: “He who doesn't jump is not Brestois”, “Here, it's Brest”, “Brest in the Champions League”slogans that resonated throughout the city. 2,800 Stade Brestois supporters are expected this Tuesday in the parking lot of the Lluis Companys Olympic stadium, located on the Montjuïc mountain, in the southwest center of the city of Barcelona.
And for supporters who will not have the chance to be in Barcelona this evening, the City of Brest has set up a fan zone to watch the broadcast of the FC Barcelona – Stade Brestois match, at the Penfeld exhibition center ( Brest Expo), in Guilers, in the large room with a capacity of 6,000 people. The meeting will be projected on a 15 x 8 m screen. If the match starts at 9 p.m., the doors will open at 6:30 p.m. to welcome the public. The pre-match will be broadcast from 8:30 p.m. It is free but be careful: to access it, you must reserve your place on the website brest-expo.fr.
