A fire broke out on Sunday November 24, 2024, around 9 p.m., in an apartment located on the third floor of a building with four floors, rue de Panama, in Évreux (Eure).

A 93-year-old woman dead and a 66-year-old man injured
According to the Sdis (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service), cited by Actu.fr, the fire apparently started from a gas stove. The occupant of the premises, a 93-year-old woman, died. An injured 66-year-old man was transported to Évreux hospital.

No other apartments were affected, no rehousing is necessary for the other residents of the residence.
Twenty-four firefighters attended the scene.
