In Normandy, a man shot dead “against a backdrop of drug trafficking”

On the night of Friday 22 to Saturday 23 November 2024, between midnight and 1 a.m., a man, born in 1991, was shot and killed, near the Pont-Audemer fire station (Eure). The public prosecutor of Évreux, Rémi Coutin, cited by Actu.fr which reveals the information, indicates that these facts occurred during a “settling of scores against a backdrop of drug trafficking”.

The victim, “known to the courts”, lived in Pont-Audemer. She was in a car, driven by a resident of Val-d'Oise. According to the first elements of the investigation, several vehicles approached the car in which the victim was. She and her driver “tried to flee”, but their adversaries fired several shots.

In this attempt to escape, the passenger of the first car was hit. The driver went to the nearby fire station. It was there that the victim was pronounced dead.

According to Rémi Coutin, the shooters used “weapons of different calibers”. The two men attacked were not armed. An autopsy of the victim's body must be carried out at the beginning of the week. This will help establish with what weapons she was killed.

The parquet “seized the research section of the gendarmerie”, says Rémi Coutin. A flagrant investigation into organized gang murder and attempted organized gang murder has been opened. This Sunday evening, the perpetrators of the shootings have not been identified and are still being sought.
