Crastes –
In a place called Mons, a fire broke out from a lifting machine on a 1,200 m² hangar-type agricultural building around 4:30 p.m. Significant resources were deployed to fight the spread of the fire. 2 fire engines, a high-power foam van (FMOGP), a ladder, a large capacity tank with a motor pump, a techno risk intervention vehicle (VIRT) with a CT RT, a VSAV (health support), the column PC , a column leader, a group leader and a safety officer were hired, i.e. 30 firefighters.
The warehouse contained agricultural machinery and phytosanitary products. The building was divided into 3 cells. The fire was able to be contained on one of them. Phytosanitary products and 5 gas and acetylene bottles found there were extracted from the home. The other two cells contain grains. They have been preserved.
The COS carried out three sectors: extinction, health support for firefighters and technological risk due to phytosanitary products.
Air analysis readings came back negative
Analyzes of the extinguishing water indicate a pH of 8, very close to the normal of 7, and no phytosanitary pollutants were detected. They spilled into a field belonging to the owner.
Examinations were carried out on those present, the owner, his son and two employees. Following this health assessment, the operator's son was evacuated to the Auch CH for additional assessment in connection with CO poisoning due to smoke inhalation.
The fire was completely brought under control around 7 p.m. Surveillance resources remain on site.
