An entire neighborhood was cordoned off, and 3,800 residents were evacuated for the day. The bomb was defused without causing damage.
In Donges (Loire-Atlantique), the environment was endangered by an oil leak at the refinery. 15,000 liters of fuel oil, the equivalent of 300 full tanks, ended up in the Loire. In 2022, a leak resulted in the flow of 700,000 liters of gasoline into the river.
